The US has blocked a joint bid by Pakistan and China at the UN Security Council to designate the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) and its Majeed Brigade as a terrorist entity. This move comes despite the US itself designating the BLA as a Foreign Terrorist Organisation in 2019.
