A man has been sentenced to rigorous life imprisonment for a murder that occurred in a Pilibhit forest in January 2020. The victim, Shanti Das, was found dead with multiple injuries. Initially an unidentified accused, the investigation led to Devki Nandan, a physically challenged villager. Witnesses testified to seeing Nandan arguing with the deceased shortly before the incident. The court found Nandan guilty based on evidence and testimonies.
