Six Sikh priests have been arrested in Hoshiarpur for allegedly driving a fellow granthi to suicide through threats and harassment. The deceased, Jaspal Singh, was reportedly accused of sacrilege and questioned about his religious duties by the accused. Distraught by the alleged mental torment, Jaspal consumed poison and died. Police are investigating further.
