The University of Delhi has retained its position as India’s highest-ranked non-technical university in the QS World University Rankings 2027, climbing six places to 322nd globally. Chandigarh University, JNU, Symbiosis International and Jamia Millia Islamia followed among India’s leading non-engineering institutions. While IITs continued to dominate the rankings, DU’s rise highlights the growing global visibility of India’s multidisciplinary universities and their improving performance in research, sustainability and graduate outcomes.
