The two-time Cup champion is reportedly seeking a six-year, $42 million deal similar to Brad Marchand’s treatment in Florida. However, Bobrovsky’s rough final season with the Panthers, a 3.07 GAA and .877 save percentage, has analysts questioning whether he’s still an elite goaltender worth that price tag, or a declining veteran about to sign a risky long-term contract.
