Morgan Miller, 39, wife of retired Olympic skier Bode Miller, 48, marked eight years on June 10–11, 2026, since the drowning death of their daughter Emeline “Emmy” Miller, who died June 10, 2018, at 19 months old after drowning in a neighbor’s pool in Orange County, California. Morgan performed CPR and revived Emmy briefly, but Emmy died at the hospital the next day from brain damage. On Today in May 2026, Morgan urged parents to start swim lessons at 12 months. Drowning is the leading cause of accidental death in children aged 1–4.
