An eighteen-year-old labourer allegedly led a seven-year-old girl into an under-construction mall. He and a colleague then raped her and battered her head repeatedly. Her body was found thrown down an empty shaft three floors to the basement. An autopsy revealed over twenty-five injury marks and two leg fractures on the victim. Both accused labourers were remanded in judicial custody after their court appearance.
