A 13-year-old boy, Vedant, was shot dead in his Sangli home by five assailants who were reportedly looking for his father, an APMC director, and grandfather. The attackers fired at point-blank range into the boy’s eye. Police are investigating professional rivalry as a possible motive and are reviewing CCTV footage.
