A special court convicted former AAP councillor Tahir Hussain for murder. He was found guilty of killing IB staffer Ankit Sharma during the 2020 riots. The court relied on eyewitness testimony and oral evidence for the conviction. Four co-accused were also convicted, while six others were acquitted of all charges. Sharma died from 51 injuries and his body was found in a drain.
