Eggs were allegedly thrown at Mamata Banerjee’s protest march in Kolkata on Wednesday. Clashes broke out between Trinamool Congress and BJP workers during the rally. Police resorted to a baton charge to control the escalating situation and restore order. Mamata Banerjee accused the police of acting as an arm of the BJP organization. The Calcutta High Court had previously allowed the protest march under specific conditions.
