A Chandigarh consumer commission found Unisex Fashions, a Pepe Jeans retailer, guilty of unfair trade practices. Despite a “one on one” offer, the store charged a customer an extra Rs 500 for an exchange. The commission ruled that once an exchange is accepted, the original offer terms should still apply, deeming the extra charge unjustified and a deficiency in service.
