Bombay High Court upheld an order for a son to pay parents maintenance. The court stated a son’s duty to parents is separate from wife’s disputes. Family discord cannot be a legal shield for a son to escape responsibility. The son had stopped payments after his wife filed a domestic violence case. The court directed the son to continue paying Rs 8,000 monthly.
