England midfielder Jordan Henderson sustained a severe wrist injury during a post-match celebration at the FIFA World Cup 2026. Falling awkwardly from advertising hoardings after a win against Mexico, the 36-year-old was taken to hospital. Manager Thomas Tuchel described the injury as ‘really bad’ and ‘quite serious’. Henderson will remain in Mexico for treatment, missing the team’s travel back.
