Astik Pradhan prepares for his first international competition in China this July. He overcame a significant ankle injury and his father’s illness last year. Pradhan set a new meet record at the U20 Federation Cup previously. He recently lowered his personal best in the 400m event. Another Odisha athlete, Sabita Toppo, also aims for a medal in hurdles.
