Sharon D Clarke will lead the Royal Shakespeare Company’s ‘Othello’ as a Black lesbian general in a climate-threatened future. Directed by Monique Touko, this adaptation reimagines the classic tragedy with a focus on love, jealousy, and power. Clarke, a three-time Olivier winner, makes her RSC debut in this movement and music-infused production, opening February 13, 2027.
