A tragic turn of events unfolded at a Malvan resort when 25-year-old Shrenik Milind Takale drowned in a swimming pool on June 23. The Sangli resident, on a vacation with friends, reportedly jumped into a shallow section of the pool and failed to resurface. Despite friends’ efforts to rescue him, he was declared dead at a local hospital. Police are investigating the accidental death.
