An education rights group in Karnataka has accused NCERT of “saffronising” its new Class 6 Kannada textbook, Krishna. The organization claims the book promotes religious themes, ignores Karnataka’s cultural icons, and presents a biased view of nutrition by excluding non-vegetarian food. They are demanding the textbook’s withdrawal and a renaming to better reflect the state’s identity.
