Filmmaker Suman Ghosh has accused the makers of ‘Abhhiman’, starring Prosenjit Chatterjee, of plagiarizing his unmade project. Ghosh claims the film’s narrative, featuring a superstar’s decline and memory loss, mirrors his own concept, which he had discussed with Chatterjee for years. The producers, however, assert the script’s originality, citing a documented creative process and legal registrations. Chatterjee expressed respect for Ghosh but maintained ‘Abhhiman’ is an independent, legally registered work.
