Eight police constables, including a woman, have been booked in Pratapgarh for allegedly securing jobs using fake freedom fighter dependent certificates. These recruits, all from Mirzapur, underwent training and are now posted across the district. An FIR was filed after an inquiry revealed they lacked valid documents, prompting further investigation into the fraudulent recruitment drive.
