West Bengal’s leader of opposition Ritabrata Banerjee, claimed the backing of 64 Trinamool Congress MLAs, exceeding a two-thirds majority. He stated this list was submitted to the Speaker, who could call for a floor test. Banerjee also hinted at more than 20 Lok Sabha MPs potentially aligning with the rebellion, echoing long-standing concerns within the party.
