Villagers in Raisen district allegedly tied two youths to a pole and beat them. The youths were also reportedly given electric shocks over motor theft suspicions. A viral video of the assault brought the incident to national human rights commission attention. Police registered a separate case and arrested two individuals involved in the assault. Further investigation is ongoing to identify and apprehend other accused persons.
